A DRIVER was caught speeding at 87mph in a 50 zone on the A35.

He was stopped by officers from Dorset Police’s dedicated No Excuse team on patrol in west Dorset.

A spokesman for the team said: “We stopped a few speeders, one notably a male driver on the A35 near Bridport for 87mph in a 50mph zone.

“He was reported to court; he already has three points for speeding.

“In Stoke Abbott we spotted a vehicle with no tax since since 2019.

“The owner was reported to the DVLA.”
