A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences following two crashes involving five cars near Dorchester this morning.
Two separate road traffic collisions occurred, with three vehicles involved in one and two vehicles in the other, which took place on the other side of the road.
A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving offences. No serious injuries were reported.
Police were on the scene after being made aware of the crash at 8.35am this morning.
A police spokesman said: "We received report of the incident on Ridgeway by the football ground roundabout at 8.35am this morning.
"Multiple vehicles were involved in the two separate road traffic collisions. Three vehicles were involved in one and two were involved in the other.
"There were no serious injuries and one man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences."
The road has now been cleared and traffic is easing.
