AS reported, Weymouth residents have been left heartbroken after around 30 mature trees in Lanehouse were felled by property developer Betterment Properties.
In particular, one giant tree at the site was understood to be home to bats and owls.
This morning new footage has emerged of that tree being chainsawed at the site.
One neighbour said he is now feeding displaced wildlife.
Robin Hansford, who sent in this video, said: "I live opposite this site and we thought at first that tree surgery was taking place on some of the weather damaged trees.
"But they have flattened everything.
"We have been feeding displaced wood pigeons the best we can. Owls, crows and the myriad of other birds and creatures we used to see - who knows?
"Mature trees felled, wildlife displaced - and no-one can be held to account, apparently."
