NEARLY 300 coronavirus cases have been confirmed across Dorset in the last 24 hours, latest figures show.
Data released by the government shows 287 cases were recorded in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4.35pm on Monday.
In the Dorset Council area, 64 cases were recorded, taking the total since the start of the pandemic to 9,086.
The BCP Council area recorded 223 cases, taking the conurbation’s total to 21,079.
In the seven days leading up to January 21, the latest rolling seven-day period, 1,116 cases were confirmed in the Dorset Council area, giving a rolling infection rate of 294.8 per 100,000 people.
The BCP area had a rolling rate of 647.1 per 100,000 people, with 2,558 cases confirmed in the latest rolling seven-day period.
