Snow could fall in Dorset this weekend as weather warnings have been issued in the area.
Two yellow weather warnings for snow has been issued for the South West of England.
The first of the warnings was in place from 4pm on Friday until 10.30am on Saturday morning, before another warning will be on place from 3am to 6pm on Sunday, January 24.
The Met Office has warned that the conditions could cause travel disruption and icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, increasing the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "An area of rain will cross the west and southwest of the country on Sunday morning and turn readily to snow as it spreads eastwards, which will also lead to some icy surfaces.
"Mainly 1-3 centimetres of snow accumulation for most parts, but possibly 5-10 centimetres over 100 metres with a small possibility of 10-15 centimetres over high ground.
"These snow amounts will cause some disruption to transport, especially on routes that cross even modest high ground."
The Met Office has warned that Dorset can expect some roads and railways to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services. It has also warned of the potential for some roads to become blocked on higher level routes.
Local forecaster, Dorset Snow, said: "A few showers popping in from the west and clashing with cold air could deliver some rain, sleet and wet snow.
“The main area of interest, however, is for Sunday morning. A weak area of low pressure again coming in from the west could deliver a few hours of snowfall for Dorset.
“Dew points and temperatures look favourable for snowfall in my opinion, although many apps are currently showing rain. “
