MORE than 500 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Dorset in the last 24 hours.
Government statistics reveal a further 367 cases in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 10,027.
A further 157 in the Dorset Council area brings the total to 4,689.
The rolling seven day rate has increased in both areas along with cases per 100,000 head of population.
They stand at 273.7 in BCP and 155.9 in the Dorset Council area.
It is the second day running that there has been a record number of new cases in the county.
