THERE have been 140 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Dorset, latest figures have revealed.
Data from the government detailed how 140 people tested positive in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on October 27.
In the Dorset Council area, 49 people tested positive which has increased the total number of cases to 1,782.
The rolling rate is 101.7 per 100,000 people.
Meanwhile in the Bournemouth Christchurch Poole area there are now 91 cases, meaning 3,357 residents have tested positive since the beginning of the pandemic.
The rolling rate of the virus in the BCP Council area is 200.8 per 100,000 people.
