Reviews recently shared online about the cinema have described the venue as 'brilliant' and 'excellent'. Some guests have praised its 'organised and efficient' coronavirus safety measures are as well as complement its 'friendly staff'.

One review reads: "This is my favourite cinema. We went as a family, to watch a movie called '100% Wolf', our first visit since lockdown restrictions were relaxed. The movie was okay but that's not the point.

"Everything the Plaza did to make our visit welcoming and safe was 100 per cent brilliant. Our children were a little apprehensive after five months of lockdown but they were soon back in the swing of things.

"It was lovely to see them giggling again. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the pre-booking of tickets and pre-ordering of snacks was super easy.

"We can't wait to visit again. Please support this beautiful, independent cinema. Even if you're not that bothered about the film you're seeing, get yourself down here.

"Dorchester would be so much poorer without it. We love you Plaza!"

Thomas Jones, a spokesman for Neo-Online, commented: "It’s no surprise that many cinemas have struggled during the pandemic, with new rules and restrictions in place, and a lack of new films to draw in audiences.

"However, many cinemas have put stringent measures in place – such as limiting capacity, ensuring social distancing, enforcing face coverings to be worn when not eating or drinking, increasing cleaning, and more – to ensure customers can still enjoy the cinema experience.

"With the sad news that Cineworld is temporarily closing all its cinemas in the UK and US, we wanted to remind the UK public that independent cinemas also need your support at the moment, including those highlighted in our new research."
