Firefighters were called to Portland to extinguish a bin fire caused by a disposable barbecue
Firefighters have urged people to put out disposable barbecues properly after a crew were called to a bin fire.
Portland firefighters were called out to extinguish a bin fire on the island at 8:42pm yesterday. The crew used a hose reel jet and a thermal camera to put the fire out.
A spokesman for Portland Fire Station said: "So again we find ourselves at DWFireRescue urging the public to please dispose of these bbq’s correctly and safely if you will insist on using them."
