STRONG winds are set to batter Dorset today, with experts warning of travel and power disruption.
The Met Office has given a yellow weather warning from 4am to 6pm tonight as Storm Ellen is set to bring winds of up to 60mph.

On its website, the Met Office said: “Strong winds on Friday are expected to lead to some travel disruption and perhaps some temporary power disruption.
"Winds are then expected to gradually ease during late afternoon and evening."
Experts added: "Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely. Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer."
A spokesperson said: “Strong southwesterly winds are expected to develop across much of England, Wales and southern Scotland during Friday.
“Wind gusts of 45-50 mph are expected fairly widely inland with gusts of 55-60 mph possible around coasts and over hills. Winds are then expected to gradually ease during late afternoon and evening.”
It is the second weather warning for this week after the Met Office issued an alert over heavy rain on Wednesday.
Wimborne-based forecaster WessexWeather recorded 37.2mm of rainfall and said it was the wettest day in Dorset in 2020 so far.
