Fans of the Music by the Lake event at Kingston Maurward will have to wait until next year
With this year’s music spectacular unable to take place, organisers say they are looking forward to the next event, which will run from Friday, August 6 to Sunday, August 8, 2021.
The line-up will be revealed later this year.
Music By The Lake was introduced in 2019 as a joint venture between Weldmar Hospicecare and Kingston Maurward, raising funds for the Dorset charity.
More than 5,000 people visited across the weekend, watching leading tributes to Queen, Abba, Bon Jovi, Elton John, and Michael Buble, in the beautiful grounds of the Georgian manor house.
Alaine Harman from Weldmar Hospicecare said: “It may be quite a way in the future, but I’m already hugely looking forward to the next Music By The Lake. There was such a terrific atmosphere at last year’s event, and without any live music events this year 2021 should be a really good celebration where we can all get together again to enjoy brilliant live music that we all love.”
Kingston Maurward Chief Executive Luke Rake said: “Sadly we are not able to run the event as planned this year, but the success of 2019 shows us what a fantastic summer awaits us in 2021. We raised so much for Weldmar last year and we are excited about what the event can bring for the people of Dorset in the future. Kingston Maurward Estate is a great resource, and we want as many people as possible to both enjoy it, and benefit from its activities, as possible.”
