We have asked local businesses suffering from the coroanvirus outbreak to let us know if they are still open and/or whether they are doing deliveries. 

All those businesses that remain open are doing so with strict hygiene and social-distancing measures in place.

Any business that would like to be added to the list should be following government guidelines regarding the handling of all produce and goods.

Customers should check what measures each business has in place and if they offer no-contact delivery.

We would specifically like to hear from businesses which are offering discounts to NHS employees.

* Bob’s Cars in Dorchester will gladly collect medication from pharmacies and deliver to the elderly, vulnerable, key workers and those staying at home with children. There will be a flat fee for this within Dorchester of £5.00 and a little higher outside.
We will collect and deliver your “click and collect” shopping from supermarkets with the same flat fee.
If you need anything please contact us, we will love to hear from you no matter how small the job.
We have friendly office staff you will do their best to assist you. Even if you just need a friendly voice to talk to, we are here to help.

* Ducks Farm Shop in Portesham is open for business. Cafe offering takeaway food & drinks, freshly prepared sandwiches made every day too. Shop open 8am-5pm Monday - Friday, 8am-6pm Saturdays and 8am-4pm Sunday. Cafe shuts at 4pm everyday.  Also offering free delivery, just call 01305534111. 

* Kings Arms Pub in Portesham offering takeaway meals between 12pm-3pm & 6pm - 9pm free delivery available, kings arms 01305871342

* The Cornish Bakery in West bay is still trading with a take away service until further notice. You can have pasties cooked or frozen. They are doing a box of 10 frozen pasties for £25.00. Open 7.30am – 6.00pm. If you would like to collect 10 or more cooked pasties give them 1 hour notice so they can be cooked specifically for your order. Tel: 01308 458256

* Codfathers has two fish and chip shops at 25 Buxton road Weymouth 01305 777909. Portland shop is 44 Weston road 01305 820198. Both shops are delivering and offer contactless service. People can also pop in the shops to collect. Also if people need something from the shops we can grab it for them when delivering their order. We are also giving NHS workers 10% discount on their orders

* Callaways Fish & Chips shop in Dorchester is open for takeaway and is offering a delivery service when we can. Up to date information is available on our FB page

* “Monsoon Indian Cuisine in Wareham is open for takeaway collection and deliver orders. We are also offering a Contact-Free delivery service. Please call us on 01929 552006. 

* Purple Nanny Cruelty Free Shopping, Abbotsbury.Free deliveries to local towns and villages

* Subway Dorchester is still open between 9 and 17:00 daily as takeaway only.

* PC Electricals is still open for business

* Party entertainment company Wish Upon a Starre,  who usually do character lead entertainment for parties and events, are offering pre-recorded video messages and virtual Skype-a-princess parties. We are hoping we can continue bringing magic to children’s birthdays even though they can’t have parties right now, we are working hard and hopeful that we will be able to survive this!

*Cherry Picked Hampers based in Winterborne Whitchurch offers holiday and welcome hampers, however it is now also offering essentials packs for people that are unable to leave the house. * Cerne Abbas and Dorchester’s Copper St breweries are providing either a take-away from the brewery via collection or delivering bottles and boxes of bagged beer direct to your house. Cerne will be providing beer in bottles or 5ltr, 10ltr and 20ltr beer in a boxed bag. Copper St Brewery located within the brewery Sq complex Dorchester are also delivering fresh cask ale and bottles. However, its shop remains open selling its own and other beers from local and national micro-breweries. * Active Mobility:  Now that it’s official that our Industry has been classed as “Key Workers” we will remain open to continue to help the elderly and disabled by providing the highest standard disability equipment and demonstrating enhanced hygiene measures on all installations and deliveries.
