A MAN was trapped after his car hit a tree on the A35.
He was cut free from the wreckage following the incident yesterday morning.
A spokesman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Resscue Service said: "Two pumps from Poole and a flexi duty officer were mobilised to a report of a road traffic collision at the Bakers Arms Roundabout in Upton, Poole at 4.37am.
"On arrival the crews found that a single vehicle had left the highway and collided with a tree. One male casualty was physically trapped in the vehicle. Crews undertook casualty care whilst awaiting for the arrival of the ambulance.
"After liaising with paramedics, crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof and undertake a dashboard roll. The driver was released from the vehicle and left in care of the paramedics."
