A body has been found in the search for a woman who went missing after leaving a hospital.
Felicity Clough, 55, had last been seen at Yeovil District Hospital at about 3.50am on Sunday morning.
She left on foot and was due to return to her home in Yetminster.
A major search of the area involving the NPAS helicopter and Dorset Search and Rescue (DorSAR) was launched.
Sadly, at 1.18pm yesterday, Dorset Police received a report that a body had been found in a rural area to the south of Yeovil.
Police said that while the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of Felicity Clough and her family has been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Chief Inspector Danny Thompson, of Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Felicity’s family at this very difficult time and they are being supported by specially-trained officers.
“We would like to thank all those who assisted with the searches and shared our appeals.”
