Royal Mail has given itself a stamp of approval after exceeding a target for delivering First Class mail the next working day.
It said it delivered 94.5 per cent of mail in the DT postcode area, which covers most of Dorset, the next day for the first half of 2019/20. The target is 93 per cent.
For Second Class mail, Royal Mail exceeded its regulatory target, delivering 98.8 per cent of this mail within three working days.
The results are published in the latest Royal Mail Quality of Service report.
Joe Massey, Service Delivery Leader, Royal Mail said: “We are delighted with our First Class performance in this area. We take our Quality of Service requirements extremely seriously and our postmen and postwomen work hard to deliver high standards of service to all our customers across the UK.”
