EMPLOYEES at Granby Roofing & Building Supplies will be swapping their normal work boots in favour of superhero capes as they set out to do their Fund-Racer to fundraise for BBC Children in Need appeal today
The staff will be split into two teams and will compete against each other in a cycle relay challenge and see who can cycle the furthest throughout the day. The event is held in-store and runs from 9am til 4pm.
Local Gym Centre, New Body Fitness, is supporting the event.
General Manager Sam Lees said: “It should certainly make for an unusual day in the office.
"We’ve had a great reaction from people so far, and would like to say a huge thank you to all those involved in the planning.
"We’d like to raise as much as possible though, so please do dig deep if you can. It’s a fantastic feeling to know we’re helping raise money for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.”
