A Dorset Police officer has warned about the dangers of aquaplaning after a crash on a wet road.
Just before 9am yesterday police received a call about a crash involving one car on the B3081, approximately halfway between Shaftesbury and Gillingham.
The car had flipped onto its roof and was severely damaged.
Ambulance crews were called after a woman suffered minor injuries and the fire service was also called to the scene.
Response Police Officer and Police Medic PC Matt Weldon issued a warning to other drivers on social media.
He said: "Weather conditions are bad today with lots of standing water and spray, increasing the risk of aqua planing. #DriveToArrive #SlowDown"
It is unknown whether the wet road conditions had anything to do with this crash.
The road was closed from about 9am until 10.30am at Turnpike and also at the Shaftesbury end of the road.
