Two shepherd huts are to be allowed on a site off Icen Lane at Bincombe for holiday accommodation.
A change of use application at The Willows has been approved by Dorset Council.
The site, close to the Jurassic roundabout on the relief road, was last used for horse riding and is within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The application says that native trees will be planted around the huts and an existing west boundary hedge left to grow to a height of four metres to help screen the holiday homes, each having its own toilet.
Winterborne Farringdon Parish Council initially expressed concerns about the application, questioning where the two cesspits would be sited claiming that, if in the wrong place, using a tanker could result in additional mud on nearby roads.
