What a surprise to learn that Howard Holdings is having 'some difficulty' in limiting the proposed pavilion development to 'only' six storeys and is now seeking permission to extend to eight!
Even at six storeys this 'exciting and innovative' development can in the long term only prove disastrous and ruin the town's sea front aspects.
Yes, drastic redevelopment and improvements are required on this site but not some 345 residential units, whether 'affordable' or otherwise, together with the extra vehicles serving them.
I consider that this proposal has got drastically out of hand and that the views and wishes of the townsfolk will be once again completely ignored.
The only individuals who will benefit from this farce are the developers - and any councillor who sanctions what is being proposed is unsuited to serve the community.
Have any of our chosen representatives bothered to take a good look at the white-elephant now gracing Poole Quay or even the multi-storey bunkers under construction at West Bay?
