Police have released CCTV images after a Weymouth beauty salon was damaged in a "personal attack."

The Echo reported the crime at Timanfaya Tanz salon on Great George Street in November.

Dorset Police have now issued CCTV images in a bid to track down those responsible.

The force said on Friday, November 16, police received a report that two unknown people sprayed paint on the shop door and caused damage to the windows at Timanfaya Tanz salon on Great George Street.

It happened sometime between 3am and 4am that morning.

Officers investigating the incident have renewed their appeal for information, releasing two CCTV images of the suspects.

The first offender is described as wearing light-coloured skinny jeans, a Puffa-style gilet and a hooded top with the hood up. The second offender is described as wearing jeans, a hooded coat with a small white logo and a baseball cap.

PC Will Harris, of Weymouth police, said: "We believe this was a targeted personal attack. We take hate crimes extremely seriously and we are determined to investigate all possible lines of enquiry.

"We have made a number of enquiries into this incident in recent weeks and I am now issuing CCTV images of the suspects in the area around the time of the offence. I appreciate they are not the best quality but I hope they might at least help jog someone’s memory or someone might recognise the clothing.

"I would also appeal to all shops and businesses who have not done so already to review their CCTV footage for the early hours of Friday 16 November 2018 to see if there is anything that can assist our investigation."

The Echo reported how the salon owner feared her business was 'under siege' by vandals after it was targeted twice in four weeks.

The damage in November, which included obscene graffiti being daubed on the door of the salon, came after an attack in October when windows were smashed and offensive graffiti spray painted outside.

Owner Vicky Davies believes it to be a direct attack against a member of staff, whose name was graffitied on the salon along with a homophobic slur.

Speaking in November, she said: "To say I'm angry doesn't come close.

"It's a personal attack on a member of staff, it's the second we've had in a month.

"The one good thing is it's shown how strong community spirit is in the street, everyone's rallied round to help."

A shop worker had his name graffitied on the wall.

He said he believes the attack is part of an ongoing hate campaign.

He said: "It's a frightening situation but we refuse to be intimidated."
