Residents are warned there may be noise disturbance as Wessex Water carries out maintenance on its site in Weymouth.
The firm is to carry out improvements to its water recycling plant in Langton Avenue, Wyke Regis.
The work will take approximately six months to complete and will involve refurbishment of the ventilation and odour control systems at the site, plus repairs to an existing sewer.
Customers’ water and sewerage services will not be affected by the work and the plant will continue to operate as normal.
Joe Edmunds, project manager for Wessex Water, said: “Working areas have been set up within the existing site, to the south side of the water recycling centre and within the grounds of Martleaves Farm.
“Work will take place during normal working hours and we don’t plan to work either at weekends or during the night.
“Every effort will be made to minimise disturbance to our neighbours but there may be occasions when some noise is unavoidable. We apologise for this and thank residents in advance for their patience while this essential maintenance work is carried out.”
