Leisure facilities at a hotel in Weymouth are to undergo major refurbishment.
The Riviera in Bowleaze has undergone several major projects in the last 12 months on a continued refurbishment programme whilst remaining open and trading.
The next step is to upgrade its leisure facilities. Therefore the swimming pool and leisure department at the hotel closed on Wednesday to enable the works to start.
Some of the projects completed at the hotel in the last 12 months include the refurbishment of more than 50 guest bedrooms; redecoration of the reception and restaurant areas; redecoration of the function and event suites; creation of two new conference rooms; installation of a new neon Riviera sign; external painting of the iconic tower section and introduction of new branding and uniform.
Throughout the coming months not only will the hotel be redevelop its leisure facilities but will also be carrying out a complete redecoration programme for the remainder of the building externally and introducing new IT, wifi and infrastructure systems.
