TWINS are famously hard to handle, but Yvonne Bishop seems to have been blessed with a pair many new mums can only dream of.
She said: “I’m really lucky.
“Both of them are great babies and sleep right through the night.”
Myla Rose Smith and Archie Jay Smith were born in Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester on November 26.
Yvonne, 28, and her partner Ash Smith, 27, chose their brand new children’s Christian names to distinguish them.
Yvonne said: “We just wanted something different.
“You don’t see many Mylas or Archies anymore.
“Rose, Myla’s middle name, comes from my great grandmother Rosalind and Archie is named after my dad.
“We found out at six weeks that we were going to have twins so we were prepared for their arrival.
“Twins run in my family but this is the first set of boy-girl twins.
“Although they are twins and although they were born together, they’re quite different.
“Archie loves his mum and wants to be held all the time.
“But Myla’s much more of a daddy’s girl.
“She’s very laid back – I think she’s cried twice since we brought her home."
Financial advisor Yvonne works in Poole and Ash is a care team manager in Dorchester, but both were brought up in Weymouth.
They have been together for six years and are engaged.
Photographer Rik Sorbie, who works in Weymouth, took the series of photographs for the couple.
