NATHAN Biddle, who joined the Royal Air Force as an Information Communication Technology Technician in the summer of 2014, has just graduated from No1 Radio School, at RAF Cosford near Wolverhampton.

A one-year advanced apprenticeship has prepared Leading Aircraftman Biddle for his role providing communication expertise across the world on frontline operations. Nathan has been assigned to his first position at 90 Signals Unit, RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire.

A former pupil of Wey Valley School in Weymouth, Nathan said he would strongly recommend a career in the Royal Air Force to other youngsters from the area.

He said: “I joined the RAF because of the range of great qualifications offered and the chance to travel with work and visit other countries. I also felt the need to get a career where I can improve myself and be continually challenged, all of which the RAF has and will provide throughout my career.”

Whether assisting in disaster relief in a far flung destination or providing maritime and mountain rescue operations at home in the UK, communications are pivotal to the continued success of the RAF.
