I have been approached by Lorna Charnock who does sterling work as the leader of 2nd Weymouth Brownies ;-
"
Hello I was wondering if you could help us.
I am the leader of 2nd Weymouth Brownies, at the moment we have spaces in the unit. We try and do a varied program, which the girls help plan with planning meetings, last year we visited, condor and had a cup of tea on board. Went up to Wessex F M radio station and had a look around and did some broadcasting, did a quiz around Weymouth and learnt how to read the bus time table, badges we have done include the cooks badge (learn about healthy eating), first aid badge and various other activities whilst having fun.
This year we are starting off by doing the toy badge, and we will get them to organise the rest of the year, we are also going to take the girls away on pack holiday All the leaders are DBS, 1st Aid trained with regular updates and go on leadership training.
Thank you. if you need to know anything else please don't hesitate to contact me. Brownies is part of the girlguiding voluntary organisation.
