THE A353 in Osmington has been blocked after two car crashes this morning.
Dorset Police were called to a single vehicle collision at 8.35am outside the Sunray Hotel after a silver Rover MG registered to a man from Wareham crashed.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and the man was treated by paramedics. It is not thought the injuries are serious.
Another crash on the same stretch of road occurred 20 minutes later.
Police were called to another single vehicle collision after a white Fiat 500 registered to a woman from Portland crashed.
The vehicle left the road and now Dorset Police are awaiting recovery vehicles to attend the scene and recover both of the cars.
A spokesman for the police said it is thought ice on the road caused both collisions and urged motorists to find avoid the area as the road is set to be blocked for some time as the vehicles are recovered.
