DORSET Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill will be visiting Dorchester to hear residents’ views on community safety, crime and policing.

He will also visit the Dorset Advocacy Service and speak at a Holocaust Memorial event at the Corn Exchange on Friday, January 30.

Mr Underhill and members of his team will be at the county town’s Tesco store in Weymouth Avenue from 10am to 3pm to meet residents and find out about what issues affect them.

He will then be holding a number of one-to-one surgery sessions.

His final stop will be Dorchester Police Station, where the Police and Crime Commissioner will meet with officers, staff and volunteers.

Mr Underhill said: “I am really looking forward to meeting residents in the Dorchester area – I want to get to the heart of the community and hear first-hand the policing and crime issues that matter to people from that area.”

The Dorchester visit is part of a rolling programme of monthly community days across the county.
