A SIGNALLING fault is causing problems on the Weymouth-Waterloo line today.

South West Trains said the equipment fault at London’s Waterloo station means the number of services entering and leaving the terminus has had to be reduced.

Services appeared to be getting back to normal after the problem was investigated this morning but SWT said additional assessments are now required.

“This means we will need to reinstate the changes we made to the train service this morning,” the train company said.

Disruption is expected until 5pm.

Passengers on Weymouth-Waterloo trains can expect longer journeys as services will make additional stops at Clapham Junction, Woking and Basingstoke.

Weymouth-bound trains are also being delayed.
