POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary at a community hall in Portland.
The incident happened between 8pm on Wednesday, January 14 and 5pm on Thursday, January 15.
A burglary took place at the Brackenbury Centre, formally the Brackenbury School, next to Underhill Methodist Church in Fortuneswell.
Unknown offenders smashed a glass window before forcing their way into the building. No items were stolen.
Police Constable Neil Fitch, of Weymouth police, said: "This centre is used by many members of the community.
“I am appealing to anyone who has any information relevant to this incident to please get in contact with me.
“All calls will be dealt with in strict confidence.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 15:499. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
