WEYMOUTH resident Dorothy Wyatt celebrated turning 99 with a bingo-themed party and lunch at Swannery Court, surrounded by 30 guests along with friends and family.
Guests enjoyed a special birthday cake, which was made by a close friend, and they also had a chance to look at Dorothy’s wedding and holiday photos.
Mrs Wyatt, of Hillcrest Road, first came to Weymouth in 1937 when she married Fred and moved to the town from Somerset.
Over the years the couple moved to Street, near Glastonbury, for Fred’s work before returning to the town and enjoying more than 50 happy years together in Weymouth.
Daughter Pearl Allen said her mother chose the bingo theme for her birthday because it is her favourite game to play.
