The annual children’s Christmas party is being held at the community hall between 4.30and 6.30pm on Friday 12th December.
There will be a party tea, games, prizes and a visit (and present) from Santa Claus. Tickets cost £1. This event has been sponsored by the 3Zone Neighbourhood Panel.
Santa will be out and about on his sleigh, or rather the Rotary Club Sleigh Run will take place on Saturday 13th December (weather permitting!).
The Moor Voices choir will be singing carols with the Rotary Club in the Co-Op car park between 4 and 5pm then they will leave to go around the estate collecting and handing out sweets to children.
Also at the community centre on Monday 15th between 7pm and 9pm, join in the festive Sing Around The Christmas Tree with the Moor Voices choir. 50p entrance. Mince pies and cream will be on sale and there will be a small raffle.
A little further ahead, this year’s New Year celebrations begin at 8pm on the 31st for an 8.30 start and going on until 12.30am. Live entertainment will be provided by Brian Donnelly.
£10 adults, £5 children under 16. Including full buffet and soft refreshments. Bring your own alcohol.
Please note that the Dementia Awareness meeting advertised for Wednesday at the library has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
