AN APPRENTICE from Bridport is celebrating after scooping a top award at the South West National Apprenticeship Awards 2014.
The National Apprenticeship Awards are run by the National Apprenticeship Service and recognise excellence in businesses that grow their own talent with apprentices, and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces.
Lukas Renee-Cemmick, 18, an engineering apprentice at AgustaWestland, won the Advanced Apprentice of the Year title at the awards ceremony in Taunton.
All the South West winners will go through to a final national judging stage.
The top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and national award winners will be revealed during a final ceremony at the LG Arena in Birmingham on November 13.
