AN 81-year-old man has been arrested following a fatal collision on the A35 near Charmouth on Saturday.
A 43-year-old male cyclist who was visiting the area died when he was in collision with a car at around 3.30pm.
The road was closed between the B3165 at Raymond’s Hill and the Charmouth roundabout with diversions put in place while officers investigated the scene of the accident.
The route was reopened at around 9.15pm on Saturday night.
Police have said an 81-year-old man from Bridport was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail until early November.
