Dorset company Lulworth Marine is calling on whale and dolphin spotters to help them out with an enterprising project for this year’s National Whale and Dolphin Watch Week from July 26 to August 3.
The marine is running 90-minute dolphin and whale-watching boat trips along the Jurassic coast, giving people the chance to get involved in important research as well as seeing these unique creatures up close.
During the campaign members of the public are invited to take part in dolphin, whale and porpoise surveys all over the UK.
Data collected from the sessions will provide a snapshot of the spread of dolphins, whales and porpoises around the country to aid their protection in the future.
