On May 14, a coach full of over 65's will be leaving from Alfs and taking the resients of Westham and Chickerell to Blue pool in Wareham for a super day out. The day includes free transport, free entry to Blue Pool and fish and chips upon return to the popular chippy.
The owners of Alf's, John and Karen, said," It is all thanks to the community with their donations that this trip is able to go ahead. We feel that when we try to fund raise within the community, we are supported by the community. So thank you everyone who helped make this trip a reality"
The next project John and Karen are hoping to raise money for is the 'baby unit' at Dorchester County Hospital (DCH). John said," We are hoping to raise £1000 towards this special unit which will enable the hospital to hopefully have two units and save more lives."
To donate for the DCH unit, please visit Alf's fish and chip shop.
