Early in February, Sally Cooke of Stinsford warned in a letter on this page of an amendment to the Care Bill that would give the government powers to close any English hospital at very short notice.
The Care Bill is due to be considered in Parliament next week.
Once this amendment becomes law, no hospital will be safe from closure. If this concerns you go to the web-site 38 degrees and sign a petition against the ‘hospital closure clause’ and ask your local MP how he plans to vote on this vital issue.
