What a great feeling you get when you read that people are doing something for charity and when I spoke to Sally Foote, it was no different. I was amazed at all of her dedication and enthusiasm that she put in to making sure that others would benefit from all of her hard work. Here is her story and how to get involved with helping others.
My business partner and I have been running a small home based business since July 2013. To promote our business we have attended many craft fairs around Dorset. We found that the most successful for promoting our products were those run monthly and we were attending regularly.
We decided to organise similar events in Weymouth, for small business to promote and meet potential customers, as well as crafters to sell their products.
As well as supporting Businesses and Crafters we wanted to raise money for Charity. As there are many deserving causes, we decided that those stall holders attending on a regular basis can nominate a different charity each month.
From February 2014 we are holding a Local Business and Craft Fair at Weymouth Community Fire Station, every 3rd Sunday of the month. Stalls cost £10.00 each, set up is from 12 noon, open to the public from 13:00 – 16:00.
The Charity for February is Parkinsons uk.
Dates for fair February 16, March 16, April 20, May 18, June 22, July 20, August 17, September 21, October 19, November 16, December 21.
