PROFESSOR Adam Hart will be exploring the wonderful smelly world of ants and bees at the next community lecture at the Thomas Hardye School.
He will be in the school theatre from 7pm on Monday, January 27.
The interactive lecture will look at the colonised world of insects and how they use chemicals to communicate all sorts of things.
Professor Hart plans to introduce his audience to some of these smells and explain what they mean.
The scientist studied at Cambridge University before doing his PhD at Sheffield University and later helped Gloucestershire set up its successful biosciences programmes at the university.
His travels have taken him to Mexico, Brazil and Panama and his broadcasting work has seen him feature on BBC TV and Radio 4.
