FROME Valley History Society meets at 2.30pm in Rampisham Village Hall.

MELBURY MEN’s Breakfast will hold their next meeting on Saturday, January 18, when the guest will be Terence Rosslyn-Smith speaking on 40 years of Christian Social Enterprise.
Meetings are held at the Southern Counties Shooting Club Cafe on Wardon Hill (A37), starting at 8.30am and finishing at around 9.45am. The cost of the breakfast is £7. MELBURY OSMOND Village Hall Committee presents the Dorset Guitar Society in concert at 3pm on Sunday January 19.
Admission costs £8 and teas, cakes and sandwiches will be available for £2.

This will be an afternoon of classical guitar music with around sixteen professional and amateur players performing solo, duet and ensemble works.
EVERSHOT Village Coffee Morning will combine with Little Acorns this month to raise money for the playgroup.
The coffee morning will take place between 10 and 11.30am on Wednesday January 22 at The Manor House in Fore Street.
There will be a book and cake stall, and any donations will be gratefully received. Coffee and cake will be served for £2.50.

THE ANNUAL Frampton Village News Quiz Night will take place in Frampton Village Hall at 7.30pm on Friday January 24.
This is a team event with four members in each team competing for the Frampton Village News Annual Challenge Trophy. There will also be prizes for 2nd and 3rd placed teams, and the winners of the ‘True or False’ sessions.
Team entries cost £12 and this will include refreshments at half-time. There will also be a bar with a god selection of beers, wines and soft drinks. SARAH, our local Police Community Support Officer will be in the Fox and Hounds, Cattistock, between midday and 1pm on Tuesday January 21 and in the Coffee Shop in Maiden Newton on the last Tuesday of the month (Tuesday, January 28).
