DIAMOND couple Peter and Ruth King celebrated 60 years of wedded bliss.
The pair met on holiday in Norfolk and began courting while they were both working in London.
Mr King, who worked for BT, and Mrs King, a secretary, tied the knot in Epsom in Surrey and moved down to Dorset 28 years ago.
The couple, who live in Sutton Poyntz, have been blessed with two daughters, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
After enjoying lunch out together on their anniversary, Mr and Mrs King were treated to a surprise celebration the weekend after.
Mrs King said the couple felt ‘lucky’ to have enjoyed 60 years of happy marriage and said the secret to it was simply their love for each other.
She said: “It’s really caring about each other, we have been very happy and very lucky.”
