THE BIG QUIZ takes place in Melbury Osmond Village Hall on Friday, December 13, the most feared date in history! Myths, legends and superstitions make up the theme for this occasion, so see how original you can make your costume!
Please arrive at 7pm for a 7.30 start.
Tables should be made up of 6 people at a cost of £6 per person. This includes a light supper.
There are 10 categories of questions to be answered. Paper and pencils will be provided and there will be a well-stocked bar. There will also be a grand raffle organised by the new chairman.

CATTISTOCK WI will host a traditional carol service at Cattistock Church on Monday December 9 at 2.30pm.
This is open to anyone in the village. Afterwards there will be mince pies and a hot drink in the Savill Hall.
THE NEXT Evershot village coffee morning takes place at Rectory House at 11am on Friday December 13.
There will be coffee, mulled wine, mince pies and an opportunity to chat with other people from the village. Everyone is most welcome.
FRAMPTON Village Hall’s Christmas Supper Dance has been a traditional village event for many years. In recent years there has been a hot and cold self-service buffet, and this has proved to be a popular change. This year there will be an even better buffet for this event on Friday December 13.
Music will be provided by the group Rapport and they will play background music before supper and music for dancing afterwards. The hall will once again be decorated to give a festive and magical setting for the evening.

Music will be provided by the Durnovaria Silver Band. Drinks and mince pies will be available by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Rod Lamont.
THERE will be a Festive Quiz in the Fox and Hounds, Cattistock, at 7.30pm on Saturday, December 14.
There are some great prizes to be won and all money raised will go to Heartbeat House.
For more information please call 01300 320444 A CHRISTMAS Concert will take place in St Osmund’s Church, Melbury Osmond, at 7.30pm on Saturday December 14. There will be lots of traditional carols, as well as carols from the Melbury Manuscript.
THIS YEAR’s Carol Service at St Mary’s Church, Frome St Quintin, will take place on Sunday, December 15.
The service will be followed by traditional fare of mince pies and mulled wine. The draw for the Christmas Raffle prizes will also take place at this time.
FRIENDS of St Mary’s Church Frampton have organised an evening of carol singing around the Christmas tree and supper at Frampton House in the Park at 7pm on Monday December 16.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children aged 12 years and under. Tickets are available from Frampton Garage.
