Updated with picture: Road closed following car fire
Spa Road in Weymouth has reopened following a car fire.
Firefighters were called to the junction of Spa Road and Ullswater Crescent at around 10.30am this morning and found the vehicle up in flames.
Crews extinguished the fire and the road was closed while the car was moved off the highway.
It is believed the cause of the blaze was accidental due to an electrical fault and caused severe damage to the car.
Dorset Highway also attended to sand the road.
