I FELT like I had gone back in time when I went along to Milton Abbas Street Fair.
Residents were dressed up in 18th century outfits to mark the 240th anniversary of the construction of the village, and the 40th anniversary of the first-ever fair.
All cars are moved out of the village for the day, helping visitors, like myself and my friend Eddie from the Daily Echo, to believe we had travelled back to 1773.
It was great to explore all the stalls and activities and we even met ‘Lord and Lady Milton’, who had the old town of Middleton destroyed before the model village of Milton Abbas was then built to house estate workers.
