CREAM TEAS will be served in Frampton Village Hall on Sunday afternoons throughout August (and the first Sunday in September) in aid of various charities and village groups.
The next one of these will be held on Sunday August 11 and will be in aid of St Mary’s Church, Frampton.
After that there will be cream teas on Sunday August 18 to raise money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, on Sunday August 25 for the Cystic Fibrosis Society and on Sunday September 1 in aid of Julia’s House Children’s Hospice.
HEATHER will also be serving cream teas from 2.30pm on Sunday, August 11 at 27 Benville Lane (between Evershot and Corscombe). There will also be plants, cakes, bric-a-brac, a raffle and some classic cars. Unfortunately, no dogs will be allowed.
All profits will go to the Weldmar Trust.
Donations for the stalls will be welcome.
STRATTON’s Summer Show takes place between 2 and 4pm on Saturday, August 10 in Stratton Village Hall.

THE LADIES’ Sewing Group will be holding a coffee morning at 2 Magiston Street in Stratton on Friday August 16.
There will also be a ‘bring and buy’ stall. The event takes place between 10.30am and 12.30pm and will be in aid of The Good Samaritan Orphanage in Romania.

There will be various stalls and activities to suit all ages, so do come along and join in the fun.
Money raised will go to help the church of St Peter and St Paul in Cattistock.
SARAH, our local Police Community Support Officer will be in the Fox and Hounds, Cattistock, between midday and 1pm on Tuesday August 20 and in the Coffee Shop in Maiden Newton on the last Tuesday of the month (Tuesday, August 27). WE ARE giving advance warning of a charity event in November! We are delighted to announce that the award-winning Viceroy Indian Restaurant in Yeovil has offered to host another meal in aid of Children of Fiji.
The event will take place on the evening of Monday, November 11 and tickets cost £10 (exclusive of drinks).
The last time we organised a similar meal, the event was extremely popular. Places are limited, so you are advised to book your place as soon as possible.
