A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital with a broken ankle after a fall on the coastal path at Durdle Door.
Portland Coastguard received a call from the 68-year-old woman’s husband reporting that she had broken her ankle in a fall while walking.
The rescue helicopter airlifted her to Dorset County Hospital at around 10am.
A spokesman for Portland Coastguard said: “The lady had a broken ankle, her husband called 999.
“She fell over on the coastal path at Durdle Door.
“The 68-year-old lady had quite a bad fracture and was airlifted by the rescue helicopter to Dorset County Hospital.”
