I PUT my footballing skills to the test when I was invited along to the Butch Nash Charity Bash, a family fun day at Portland United Football Club on Sunday.
It was the second of these events, held in memory of Butch, the founder of Portland Stone Limited, who passed away in December 2011 after a three-year battle with lung cancer.
The event raises funds for the Butch Nash fund, which supports local people, and involved the PSL All Stars taking on the Wide Street Wanderers, plus a Portland youth football match, Portland majorettes, bouncy castles, bungee runs and pony rides.
During half–time it was my turn to take part in a penalty shootout, where I did my best to stop goals – not an easy task!
