I WAS fascinated by this picture of a baby caiman crocodile, which has arrived at Deep Sea World in North Queensferry. The tiny caiman, nicknames Fawkes, currently measures just 30cms in length but will eventually grow up to six times longer.
Much tinier are the baby moon jellyfish, at the Sea Life London Aquarium, where there is a boom of baby jellyfish. The picture shows aquarist Ruth Chamberlain looking at the babies, some of which are just 2mm long.
Much bigger is this Japanese Spider crab, named Big Daddy, who lives at Blackpool’s Sea Life Centre. His nine-foot claw-span makes him Europe’s biggest crab.
Hope you have a very happy birthday to: Zelie Long, four on May 4, who is pictured below, Ramesh Wadie, 11 on May 5, Elliot Carr, five on May 6, Brandon El-Murr, 10 on May 7, Deaglan Paul Allen, six on May 7, Chloe Bickerton, nine on May 9, Callum Pearce, eight on May 10, Lauren Payne, 13 on May 10.
