PLUMBER Nigel Carter is the top suspect for the murder of Danny Latimer in Broadchurch, according to a Dorset Echo poll.
He finished in top place in a vote on the Echo website ahead of Susan Wright, the Rev Peter Coates and dad Mark Latimer.
Carter, who is the workmate of Danny's dad Mark, notched up 24 per cent of votes ahead of Coates on 13 per cent.
Caravan dweller and dog lover Wright gained nine per cent of votes and Mark Latimer was in last place with three per cent.
But another 50 per cent of voters thought someone else was responsible. Last week's episode shifted the suspicion towards DS Ellie Miller's husband Joe and son Tom as well as Wright.
The suspicion has changed on a weekly basis as the 'whodunnit' twisted and turned over episodes in the past weeks.
The eight-part prime time drama nears its finale on a knife edge this week with the penultimate episode. We see if DI Alec Hardy survives his collapse chasing a suspect in the boatyard at the end of last week's episode. DS Miller tries to find out what happened as the suspect fled from the clifftop hut where they believe Danny was killed.
Watch out for another poll on the Echo website on Monday as the net closes on the killer - or killers.
