Februarys Quiz Night was attended by 11 teams, (55 quizzers in total) and was held by Quiz Mistress Cynthia who taxed the community’s brains with a fine mix of brainteasers.
The “Happy Snappers” won the £25.00 cash prize, with runners up “Mixed Bunch” being awarded a healthy round of applause.
The Community Quiz Night is used for raising money for the community as well as providing entertainment and a way of bringing members of the community together. And in this respect, after prizes and food costs were deducted a healthy £151.25 was raised for the Community Forum.
So a huge thanks to all involved in the latest community quiz, this includes Cynthia, everyone who attended, and every volunteer who helped with refreshments and bringing out extra tables as needed!
The next quiz is on 23 March at 7.00 pm. It’s the same old , same old, £3.00 per person to enter, you can come in a ready made team or take pot luck on the night and join a team of other like minded souls. Light refreshments are provided, but if you feel your brain functions better with a glass or two of the falling over liquid then do please bring your own along, just remember you will need a way of opening the bottle/can and something to drink it out of.
There is one cash prize of £25.00, which is given to the winning team. You get nothing for coming second except for a round of applause.
So you have advance warning and a good 3 weeks to prime your memory cells for action.
