There was a good turnout for Fiveways Club AGM on January 30. Pat Sherrett was unanimously re-elected as Chairman for the coming year, with Kate Wheller as treasurer. Fiveways offers craft sessions, coffee mornings, entertainment, Lunch Club, bingo and outings. New members and visitors are always welcome. Pop in to coffee on Wednesdays from 9.30 and find out more. Join us for pancakes at 2.30pm on Tuesday February 12.
Find a splash of colour during these grey rainy days, and come along to Art Space art and craft group. All ages and all levels of experience are very welcome to join in a friendly community arts session. Bring along your own art and/or craft materials and work on your own projects in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Artspace is at Westham Methodist Church, Newstead Road, the 2nd Saturday of every month, from 10am to 12 noon. £1.50 per session – why not come along for a taster session. Refreshments are available. WYKE REGIS
Note for your diaries, the coffee morning at the Small Memorial Hall on Friday February 15 is cancelled. Instead there will be coffee and cake served in the church after the 10.30am service at All Saints Church on Friday February 8.
To mark the start of Lent, Ash Wednesday service will be celebrated on Wednesday February 13 at both All Saints Church (6.00pm) and St Edmunds Church (10.00am).
Drop in to Wyke Regis WI pancake and coffee morning Tuesday February 12, 10.30am to 12 noon, Wyke Regis WI Gallwey Road. Cost £1.50 for pancake and tea or coffee. Bring a friend and take some time out on a winter’s day.
